Moment UFC fan sent flying after trying to get into Octagon during 274 event

A fan was sent flying after trying to get into the Octagon during UFC 274.

Footage of the moment was shared on TikTok and showed a female who was in the stands to watch the event addressing the camera before jumping down into the walkway where the fighters make their entrance.

She made a dash towards the cage and managed to make it it up onto the outside section – but not for long. Before she could even get two feet on the mat a security guard shoved her back down to the floor, where she appeared to land with a nasty bump.

Watchers-on can be heard exclaiming "Oh s***" as the fan is then led away by another member of security. User Shriak Sharma, who posted the video, wrote: "Disclaimer: I don’t know this girl and Im extremely lit at this point don’t mind my voice."

It was a dramatic moment on a night filled with thrills including Tony Ferguson getting brutally KO'd with a sickening front kick from Michael Chandler which left him out cold for nearly two minutes.

Ferguson was taken to hospital for additional checks before being released once his CT scans had returned negative, while Chandler celebrated wildly with several backflips and then announced his intention to purse either the lightweight belt or a fight with Conor McGregor.

After that Rose Namajunas lost her strawweight title in a split decision defeat to Carla Esparza. Their bout was was criticised by fans for its lack of action across the five rounds.

The main event delivered, though, as Charles Oliveira choked out Justin Gaethje in the first round. The former lightweight champion had been forced to vacate his crown earlier in the week after missing weight for the fight.

The win put him back as the number one contender and he too called out McGregor. The Notorious responded on social media, saying he's got "some thinking to do".
