UFC star breaks silence on violent clip

Mixed martial arts fighter Mike Perry has spoken publicly for their first time since he allegedly assaulted three people at a restaurant in Texas.

Last month, Perry was caught on camera punching an old man to the ground in a violent outburst. In the video, the welterweight fighter can be seen yelling in a fiery tirade at multiple people, claiming someone had touched him.

A woman in the video is trying to calm the situation and get Perry to leave the venue.

“Did you touch me? Oh you didn’t touch me?” Perry yells.

“He touched me. Ya’ll going to tell the police …”

Perry then appears to call the older man a “fat piece of s**t” before punching him in the head, knocking him to the ground as other people scream and try to restrain him.

Perry then sits down and yells, “Call the police, I ain’t do s**t”.

Three weeks later, Perry has apologised to the UFC in an emotional social media post, promising to be a better role model for the sport.

“I want to be a better role model for my family. For my unborn son. My Queen and for myself so I can earn the respect I deserve,” Perry tweeted on Sunday.

“To my sponsors and my bosses at UFC I want to apologise for how my actions have impacted our relationships. I will be better all around.”

However, Perry copped a brutal and unforgiving response from American MMA fighter Anthony Taylor.

“Bro at this point your a joke,” Taylor replied.

“Also you need to stop using the N-word it’s rude and offensive.”

Perry has won 14 of his 20 professional fights, and most recently claimed a UFC victory over Mickey Gall in Las Vegas in June. Four days ago, his partner announced she pregnant with their first child.
