Michael Vaughan is confident England will eventually find room for Harry Brook in their World Cup following his explosive display for the Northern Superchargers last night.<\/p>\n
The 24-year-old smashed the fastest Hundred century but it proved in vain as Welsh Fire kept alive their hopes of making Saturday\u2019s eliminator with an eight-wicket win.<\/p>\n
Brook crashed a scintillating 105 off 42 balls but found little support as Superchargers posted 158 for seven.<\/p>\n
One of the stars of this summer\u2019s Ashes series capped a stunning evening\u2019s work with an astonishing catch on the boundary and Vaughan is confident, despite last week\u2019s snub, that he will eventually make the cut and travel to India as part of Jos Buttler\u2019s squad which is looking to defend the trophy they won four years ago.<\/p>\n
\u2018Harry Brook is different class,\u2019 wrote former England skipper Vaughan in response to Brook\u2019s awesome display of hitting. \u2018My guess is he will end up at the World Cup.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018Obviously it\u2019s disappointing but I can\u2019t do anything about it now,\u2019 said Brook last week. \u2018You\u2019ve just got to move on. I\u2019m trying not to think about it anymore.<\/p>\n
\u2018I\u2019ve not had much conversation with Matthew [Mott] or Jos [Buttler]. They said with Stokesy coming back I was probably going to miss out this time. He is one of the best players to ever play cricket, so I can\u2019t really complain, can I?<\/p>\n
\u2018I feel like I\u2019m playing well at the minute and feel I could potentially add value to the team. [But] there\u2019s always something more you could do.<\/p>\n
\u2018I haven\u2019t had much opportunity to play one-day cricket, whether that be for Yorkshire or England and although I\u2019ve played a lot of T20 cricket, I don\u2019t know if I\u2019ve done as well as I have in the past in the last six months, so that might have had an effect.\u2019<\/p>\n
