Roma vice president Ryan Friedkin and sporting director Tiago Pinto are jetting to London to discuss the signing of Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea. The Giallorossi chiefs are due to be in attendance at Stamford Bridge on Friday night when the Blues host Luton Town in the Premier League.<\/p>\n
Roma are looking to land the Belgian on loan and Chelsea are determined to get their \u00a397.5million flop off the books to free up some additional cash.<\/p>\n
Chelsea would however, request a loan fee while they’re also keen to ensure Roma would be prepared to pay a sizeable chunk – if not all – of his wages.<\/p>\n
Lukaku has been left in the cold by Chelsea after being told he is not part of the club’s plans moving forward.<\/p>\n
Juventus had shown interest and their pursuit of Lukaku saw the former Everton and Manchester United striker burn bridges at Inter Milan.<\/p>\n

More info<\/p>\n Don’t miss… <\/strong> Pochettino is yet to speak to Lukaku and claims a decision over his future was taken out of his hands as the club wanted to offload the centre-forward.<\/p>\n “The situation has not changed,” he told Thursday’s press conference. “Like always I tell you in football, anything can happen. We’ll see what happens in the future but at the moment, the situation has not changed.”<\/p>\n Pochettino went on to stress that Lukaku must seek him out and speak with him about a future at Chelsea if anything is to change.<\/p>\n The Argentine said on Thursday: “[With Lukaku], it was a situation which was really clear before we arrived here. That was a wish between the club and the player to try to find a solution.<\/p>\n “At the moment, we are relaxed. Nothing happened. If something changes, we will inform you, but for the moment, nothing has changed.”<\/p>\n Roma now look as though they’re Lukaku’s most likely destination as the two clubs continue to negotiate a transfer.<\/p>\n His current deal with Chelsea is due to run until June 2026 and Chelsea would ideally like to recoup a transfer fee either now or further down the line.<\/p>\n Chelsea are expected to explore the signing of a new striker in the summer transfer market.<\/p>\n
