Football fans have been left drooling over Cristiano Ronaldo's 'world class' backheel – that flicked Sadio Mane through on goal.

Ronaldo received the ball with his back to goal during Al-Nassr's Friday night game, and with very little options he could only try and give the ball to Mane. Using the outside of his right foot, Ronaldo flicked the ball through – leaving Mane one-on-one.

And the ex-Liverpool star didn't need a second invitation to calmly lob the ball into the far corner of the goal. And football fans were left speechless by the small series of play.

"A backheel for that assist, I am not even joking when I say no one other than him could have made that pass," one fan said. While a second tweeted: "This Cristiano Ronaldo assist is on another level!"

"That's just filthy! Take a bow Cristiano Ronaldo," a third said. While a fourth gushed: "Feeling nostalgic… similar to the pass to Wayne Rooney when he was at United… aged like fine wine!"

"It just had to be him," a fifth said. And another added: "Greatest of all time!"

It didn't take long for Ronaldo to add himself to the scoresheet – and nine minutes later he was wheeling off in celebration as Al-Nassr put Al-Fateh to the sword.

Ronaldo helped himself to a second when the game kicked off for the second half, while Mane bagged his brace in the final minutes of the game. Al-Nassr ran out 4-0 winners, with Aymeric Laporte making his debut for side, having made the switch from Manchester City earlier this week.
