Football fans have joked that Everton fans' boos can't be beaten as they let their feelings known towards the Toffees in the Carabao Cup.

Everton had travelled to South Yorkshire to square off with Doncaster in the second round – as Rovers frustrated the away side with a solid performance.

And the Toffees suffered more embarrassment when they went 1-0 down as Joe Ironside got his head on a free-kick. However, replays showed Ironside had wondered offside, but with no VAR, the goal was allowed to stand.

Doncaster almost doubled their lead moments before half-time, leading to a chorus of boos from the away end at half-time.
