if not the &#8211; leading faces on SmackDown.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/08\/11\/75210659-12495753-image-a-7_1694170082549.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>LA Knight could be set for a new extended deal with WWE, believed to be for five years<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/08\/11\/75210657-12495753-image-a-9_1694170225342.jpg\" height=\"681\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>WWE chiefs have reportedly been working on a deal for one of their most popular superstars<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/08\/12\/74374325-12495753-He_has_had_a_long_journey_to_the_top_of_the_promotion_but_has_th-a-16_1694171199581.jpg\" height=\"425\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>He has had a long journey to the top of the promotion but has thrived since reverting back to his LA Knight persona in October<\/p>\n<p>According to PWInsider, the contract itself is very close to being finalised, so important do WWE officials view LA Knight to their immediate future.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Chiefs were keen for the timing to be right on the deal, before giving LA Knight the push to be billed as one of their leading faces.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This latest development would round off what has been an impressive comeback for the superstar, who openly admitted that back in 2022 he thought he was close to being let go.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With LA Knight failing to secure any real traction, a change of character was ordered, and he began appearing as Max Dupri &#8211;
