Fans were delighted to see former Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness return to the TV screens on Tuesday as Scotland prepared to take on England at Hampden Park.<\/p>\n
The Liverpool legend and Mail Sport columnist left Sky Sports after 15 years this summer and was instantly welcomed back by fans as he joined Channel 4’s panel alongside Jill Scott, Joe Cole and Ally McCoist.<\/p>\n
One supporter said ahead of kick-off: ‘Might be in the minority but whoever decided to put Graeme Souness on the C4 coverage for Scotland v England is a genius’<\/p>\n
A second tweeted: ‘Lovely to have Souness back as a pundit. Sky Sports you lost the best you had losing him. Well done Channel 4.’<\/p>\n
A third simply posted: ‘Souness spitting facts.’<\/p>\n

Richard Keys, who left Sky Sports in controversial circumstances in 2011, posted: ‘I hear Graeme Souness is working for C4 on Tuesday night. I thought we were told he was retiring?’<\/p>\n
The Three Lions’ trip to Hampden Park marked the 150 years since the first recognised international football match, when Scotland hosted England in 1872.<\/p>\n
Supporters were in high spirits outside the stadium ahead of kick-off, with both sides heading into the clash in a rich vein of form.<\/p>\n
