UFC CEO Dana White has revealed she felt “almost nothing” when learning about the death of his parents.

White spoke with Piers Morgan on TalkTV after the UFC and WWE merged to create the TKO group. The new company debuted on the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday. Before the event, White was promoted from UFC President to CEO.

Speaking with Morgan, White revealed how he cared for his father until he died. However, he mentioned not having the best relationship with his mum. “Listen, I took care of my father and moved him up to Maine and put him to rest with his family up there. And then my mother, I had nothing to do with any of hers. Her family handled her when she passed away.”

Don’t miss… In his explanation, he stated his parents played a significant role in shaping his perspective on parenting, though not positively. White emphasised he rarely discussed this aspect of his life and believed he had never openly discussed it.

He also mentioned his parents passed away recently, and he expressed his acceptance and contentment with the situation. He disclosed he now prioritises his relationship with his children and has moved past his relationship with his parents.

“There’s no doubt about it. I cannot deny the fact that the way that I am built that way, the drive, and all the things that I have definitely come from the relationship that I had with my parents,” expressed White. “There is no doubt about it. But no, I have no remorse. I don’t feel bad about the way that I grew up.”

We use your sign-up to provide content in ways you’ve consented to and to improve our understanding of you. That’s a fact. I am always there for my kids, anything that they ever need.”

“My father taught me what it feels like to not have a father there at the house, what it’s like to not have that person around all the time when you need him, and I would never do that to my kids.”

White has been the President of the UFC since 2001 since childhood friend Lorenzo Fertitta acquired the company for $2 million and appointed him. Before that, White worked in boxing, starting a gym in Boston.

White left Boston due to obtaining money from mobsters who ran the city in the early 1990s. He said he owed the mobsters $2,500, and when they reached out to collect their funds, he hung up their phone call, called Delta Airlines, and purchased a ticket to Las Vegas, where he would go on to become the face of mixed martial art’s biggest promotion.

As things stand today, White promotes the UFC as well as Power Slap. In August 2019, Forbes reported White to have a net worth of $500 million.
