The Portuguese star refused to toe the line and was soon sold.<\/p>\n<p>But four-time Premier League winner Pallister pleaded &#8216;There&#8217;s got to be a way of getting the best out of Jadon Sancho because he&#8217;s a talented footballer.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/16\/23\/75516213-12527157-image-a-67_1694904318410.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Joadon Sancho could face never playing for Man United again two years after his \u00a373m move<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/16\/23\/75516217-12527157-image-m-69_1694904323550.jpg\" height=\"462\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Erik ten Hag has been steadfast in his disapproval over the winger&#8217;s decision to take their falling-out public<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/16\/23\/75516209-12527157-image-a-70_1694904342353.jpg\" height=\"536\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Gary Pallister (right) has called on both men to make peace and move on from the incident<\/p>\n<p>Pallister also speaks from a position of strength after nearly a decade at the heart of Alex Ferguson&#8217;s side that dominated English football for 20 years.<\/p>\n<p>He has remained close to the club in retirement and now, speaking with 888sport, he hopes the warring pair can settle their differences.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The war of words we would have would probably be had behind closed doors (when I was a player) and wasn&#8217;t there in public,&#8217; Pallister added.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Erik felt he needed to go public with the reasons why he left Sancho out and I think that&#8217;s probably a reaction from Jadon to come back fighting.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It has been a difficult period for the club. Ten Hag has come in, he&#8217;s been very disciplined by the looks of it, behind the scenes.<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We&#8217;ve heard of different occasions when he&#8217;s come down and hard on players.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I think I read something about a clear the air chat. We want to see a Jadon Sancho as the player that he was at Dortmund because he looked like an exceptional talent.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We&#8217;ve seen it in bits and starts here at United but not enough. He&#8217;s still got a lot to prove in a United shirt I would think.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It&#8217;s not it&#8217;s not always just centred around football, you never know what&#8217;s going on in a player&#8217;s mind, what&#8217;s going on in his background, his family life, or anything like that, it&#8217;s an understanding of everything.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Pallister had a slow start to his United career when he joined as a British record signing in 1989.
