The Japanese Grand Prix is just days away, and already big questions are being asked about the heated rivalries in the sport as the drivers prepare for one of the most hotly-anticipated races of the year.<\/p>\n

Plenty of speculation surrounds Mercedes in the wake of the Singapore Grand Prix after George Russell crashed out on the final lap of the race, promoting team-mate Lewis Hamilton onto the podium.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Max Verstappen did not enjoy his usual dominance and was a shock omission from the podium places, although the Dutchman has now begun his revenge mission in Suzuka with some formidable lap times during the first practice session of the weekend.<\/p>\n
