Ireland coach John Fogarty is sure an alleged stamp on Josh van der Flier will be looked at by the authorities. South Africa replacement Ox Noche appeared to stand on the Irish star during Saturday’s Rugby World Cup match at the Stade de France.<\/p>\n
Ireland secured a memorable 13-8 victory in Paris. They have now won their opening three matches in Pool B.<\/p>\n
And a disappointing night for South Africa could be marred by the incident involving Nche. TV footage appeared to show Nche standing on Van der Flier’s hand for a couple of seconds at a ruck.<\/p>\n
Fogarty didn’t see the alleged stamp but is sure it will be dealt with if there was any wrongdoing. He said: “I\u2019m not aware if there was a stamping or not.<\/p>\n
“I\u2019m sure World Rugby will be looking across everything, referees will be looking across everything, At the moment in time, I\u2019m sure there is (a mechanism available) if we needed to.<\/p>\n
