    Pep Guardiola has pulled the 'excuse of the season' after he suggested Manchester City's inability to fly back from Newcastle could hinder their unbeaten start.<\/p>\n

    City are set to travel up north for their Carabao Cup clash with the Magpies on Wednesday evening, but they will take a coach there and back. Unfortunately for City, there were no trains available, while they were also unable to fly.<\/p>\n

    And speaking ahead of the game, Guardiola fumed: "After the game we cannot come back by plane because of a problem – something for the planes.<\/p>\n

    City have been picture perfect at the start of the new season, as Guardiola's side look to defend their Treble victory last year.<\/p>\n

    The defending champions are six for six in the Premier League, and they got their European campaign off to the perfect start with a win against Crvena zvezda. <\/p>\n
