<\/p>\nTroy Deeney has claimed he's better at heading and controlling a ball than Bayern Munich and England star Harry Kane.<\/p>\n
The Watford striker, who now plays for Forest Green Rovers in League Two aged 35, was approached by Tottenham to be Kane's understudy following the Hornets' relegation from the Premier League in 2020. He ultimately stayed put in the Championship.<\/p>\n
Deeney spoke about what he feels he would've offered Spurs that was different to Kane, 30, during an appearance on the Winners Talking Podcast this week. He said: "So is Harry Kane a better footballer than Troy Deeney? F***ing absolutely, absolutely.<\/p>\n

Deeney's comments went unchallenged by co-hosts Pound Sterling and Big Doug, who nodded along in agreement with him before he went on to add: "Also, here\u2019s something that I will say.<\/p>\n
"And anyone that knows me and anyone that\u2019s played with me will say this. Can he be honest every single day and say he outworked Troy? <\/p>\n
"If he can say he can he\u2019d be f***ing very, very good. But if you can\u2019t, I\u2019m there innit. Cause one thing that anyone knows is I outwork everybody cause I\u2019m not as good as them."<\/p>\n
