Chelsea have confirmed that Infinite Athlete will be their front of shirt sponsor this season.<\/p>\n
A deal for the remainder of the campaign worth over \u00a340m has been agreed with the US-based data company, whose name will be on Chelsea shirts from Sunday.<\/p>\n
Their women’s team kick off their WSL campaign and title defence against Tottenham on Sunday evening and will have Infinite Athlete’s logo on their shirts for the televised fixture.<\/p>\n
The men’s team will follow on Monday when they travel to Fulham. The brand will also appear on the sleeves of Chelsea’s training kit.<\/p>\n
Chelsea have been searching for a new principal partner after their deal with mobile company Three expired last summer and been playing in shirts without a sponsor so far this season.<\/p>\n

A deal with Paramount + had to be scrapped due to conflict potential with the Premier League’s TV rights holders while plans to partner with online casino Stake were abandoned amid a supporter backlash.<\/p>\n
Talks with Allianz and a cryptocurrency firm also collapsed but they received Premier League approval for the deal with Infinite Athlete during the week.<\/p>\n
While the current agreement is just for this season, discussions will continue regarding their tie-up with Infinite Athlete for next season and beyond.<\/p>\n
Chelsea are having a number of conversations with various potential partners with Saudi Arabian airline Riyadh Air one company talks have taken place with.<\/p>\n
Infinite Athlete, the parent company of another Chelsea partner Tempus Ex, already has huge sponsorship deals with the NFL, Colorado Athletics and the US Collegiate Pac-12 Conference. They were rebranded in this year but the origins of the company were back in 2009.<\/p>\n
They initially partnered with Chelsea earlier this year and have plans to become a major player in world football \u2013 supplying affordable player data to clubs and allowing fans to watch games from multiple camera angles.<\/p>\n

Sealing the sponsorship deal provides a financial boost for Chelsea’s owner Todd Boehly<\/p>\n
Chelsea CEO Chris Jurasek said: ‘We have a like-minded partner in Infinite Athlete. The speed at which our relationship has grown, alongside the evolution of Infinite Athlete’s business, made this an obvious extension to our partnership.<\/p>\n
‘Infinite Athlete has the potential to revolutionise the world of football and global sports, particularly when it comes to fans wanting to consume more match and player data and control their own viewing experience, while also providing players and coaches with insights and analytics that can help with player performance, health and safety.’<\/p>\n
