The 23-year-old has been in stellar form for Gary O’Neil’s side this season, having picked up four assists and one goal in their opening seven matches.\u00a0<\/p>\n
As Mail Sport reported last summer, the Gunners have had a long-standing interest in the Portugal international.\u00a0<\/p>\n
They were considering launching a bid for the winger in 2022 however he was valued at over \u00a350million – with Arsenal looking to pay around \u00a335m.<\/p>\n
Despite this, Arsenal have been in discussions with agent Jorge Mendes over the Portugal international for a while, and are hoping a deal can be agreed.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Neto has been a key figure since his arrival from Braga in 2019 and has made 118 appearances for Wolves – scoring 12 goals and recording 17 assists.<\/p>\n
Should Neto join Arsenal, he’ll do well to improve their attack as they proved their domination up-front with a 4-0 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz and Ben White were all on target for Arteta’s side as they maintained their unbeaten run and rose to third in the table.\u00a0<\/p>\n
