{"id":292030,"date":"2023-10-02T21:25:35","date_gmt":"2023-10-02T21:25:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportslifetale.com\/?p=292030"},"modified":"2023-10-02T21:25:35","modified_gmt":"2023-10-02T21:25:35","slug":"robert-macintyre-hails-team-europes-incredible-ryder-cup-victory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportslifetale.com\/golf\/robert-macintyre-hails-team-europes-incredible-ryder-cup-victory\/","title":{"rendered":"Robert MacIntyre hails Team Europe&apos;s &apos;incredible&apos; Ryder Cup victory"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Robert MacIntyre hails Team Europe&#8217;s &#8216;incredible&#8217; Ryder Cup victory and admits it was &#8216;nerve-wracking&#8217; on the final day &#8211; insisting he&#8217;ll &#8216;never forget this for the rest of my life&#8217;<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Robert MacIntyre says that the final day of the Ryder Cup was &#8216;nerve-wracking&#8217;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>MacIntyre declared that winning the Ryder Cup with Europe is &#8216;unforgettable&#8217;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Robert MacIntyre admitted that the conclusion to the Ryder Cup was &#8216;nerve-wracking&#8217; but insisted that he always believed that Europe would succeed.<\/p>\n<p>Europe needed four points from the 12 singles matches on Sunday in order to confirm their success.<\/p>\n<p>Tommy Fleetwood secured the winning point in Rome as he overcame Rickie Fowler.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Afterwards, MacIntyre revealed that he has learned a lot from being part of the team and described winning the Ryder Cup as an unforgettable experience.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Europe beat the USA 16 1\/2 &#8211; 11 1\/2 as they secured glory.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/01\/18\/76043235-0-image-m-72_1696180285188.jpg\" height=\"505\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Robert MacIntyre stated that he always had faith that Europe would win the Ryder Cup<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/01\/18\/76043451-0-image-a-89_1696181212636.jpg\" height=\"837\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>MacIntyre says that he learned a lot from being part of an incredible team at the Ryder Cup<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, McIntyre said: &#8216;It was nerve-wracking. It was everything. I trusted myself and the guys around me. These finishing holes are tough so just about trying to get your point and see what happens. Thankfully we finished it off.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It&#8217;s incredible. This is a completely different team from a few years ago. The top guys are absolutely solid and stalwarts on the PGA Tour.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;For me being in that team with these guys, I have learned so much.
