Arsenal’s WSL opener against Liverpool was witnessed by the biggest crowd in the history of the Women’s Super League.<\/p>\n
A record 54,155 people were in attendance as the hosts suffered a surprise 1-0 defeat at the Emirates Stadium.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Gunners, strengthened by the addition of Alessia Russo, are one of the favourites to go all the way after finishing third last season.<\/p>\n
However, their campaign got off to the worst possible start as\u00a0Miri Taylor’s second half strike claimed the three points for the visitors.<\/p>\n
January signing Taylor pounced from Missy Bo Kearns’ cross to slot home for the side who finished 24 points below their opponents last term.<\/p>\n
