Portugese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly told Al Nassr management that he wishes to renew his contract until 2027 with the club.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ronaldo moved to Saudi Arabia in December 2022, but has taken to life well in the Middle East registering 25 goals and eight assists in 30 games.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The 38-year-old has been made captain of Al Nassr, with his side currently sitting third in the league behind Al Taawoun and Neymar’s Al Hilal.\u00a0<\/p>\n
According to\u00a0football journalist Ali Al-Harbi, the striker has told club management that he wishes to extend his stay in Saudi Arabia until 2027.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 38-year-old is captain of Portugal and wishes to represent them again at the World Cup<\/p>\n
A post on X released by Al-Harbi read: ‘Cristiano Ronaldo informed the management of the Saudi #\u0627\u0644\u0646\u0635\u0631 club before traveling to the Portuguese national team camp that he wants to renew his contract until the beginning of 2027.\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘Cristiano wants to play the 2026 World Cup while he is a player for Al-Nassr Club, and then he will announce his retirement from football.’<\/p>\n
Playing at the World Cup will take Ronaldo to 41 years old, an incredible feat even for such an athlete as the legendary striker.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The 2026 tournament is due to be held in the United States of America, Mexico and Canada.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ronaldo was benched at the previous World Cup for PSG’s Concalo Ramos, and saw his side knocked out by Morocco in the quarter-finals.\u00a0<\/p>\n
However with Al-Harbi seemingly suggesting Ronaldo will retire from football altogether after the World Cup, these may be the last few years fans will get to witness the superstar at work.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
