{"id":293646,"date":"2023-10-19T19:43:57","date_gmt":"2023-10-19T19:43:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportslifetale.com\/?p=293646"},"modified":"2023-10-19T19:43:57","modified_gmt":"2023-10-19T19:43:57","slug":"chelsea-slammed-by-mohammed-kudus-agent-for-ridiculous-offer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportslifetale.com\/soccer\/chelsea-slammed-by-mohammed-kudus-agent-for-ridiculous-offer\/","title":{"rendered":"Chelsea slammed by Mohammed Kudus&apos; agent for &apos;RIDICULOUS&apos; offer"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Chelsea made a &#8216;RIDICULOUS&#8217; offer for Mohammed Kudus that ruined any chance of signing him before his \u00a338m move to West Ham, reveals his agent<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Chelsea were heavily linked with Mohammed Kudus during the summer\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>His agent has revealed they made a &#8216;ridiculous&#8217; offer that was quickly rejected<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Listen to the latest episode of Mail Sport&#8217;s podcast &#8216;It&#8217;s All Kicking Off!&#8217;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The agent of Mohammed Kudus has revealed an agreement was reached for the forward to join Chelsea this summer, only for the Blues to offer a &#8216;ridiculous&#8217; transfer fee that scuppered the deal.<\/p>\n<p>Kudus was a player in the demand during the recent transfer window after starring for Ajax last term, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists in the Eredivisie.<\/p>\n<p>Chelsea, Arsenal and PSG were all linked with the forward, and the west London club looked to have moved into pole position for his signature at one stage.<\/p>\n<p>Kudus&#8217; agent Jen Mendelewitsch has revealed this was the case and the move was edging closer before Chelsea offered just \u00a317m for the attacker, and then refused to improve their bid.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We reached an agreement with Chelsea, we agreed the contract with Chelsea but the deal was not done,&#8217; Mendelewitsch explained to RMC Sport.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/19\/10\/76745471-12648609-image-m-7_1697707821166.jpg\" height=\"468\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Mohammed Kudus&#8217; agent Jen Mendelewitsch (left) has revealed an agreement was reached for the player to join Chelsea this summer<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/19\/10\/76745347-12648609-image-a-8_1697707868584.jpg\" height=\"451\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>However, Chelsea owner Todd Boehly made an offer of just \u00a317m that was rejected by Ajax<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/19\/10\/76745349-12648609-image-a-9_1697707896665.jpg\" height=\"435\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Kudus went on to join West Ham in the final week of the summer transfer window for \u00a338m<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;He talked with the coach but in the end it didn&#8217;t happen because Chelsea made a ridiculous offer to Ajax.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;There was no counter offer. Chelsea did this with lots of players this summer, making very low offers to clubs knowing that they would not be accepted.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Mendelewitsch&#8217;s claim suggests Chelsea were not fully convinced about signing Kudus, and she believes they were more concerned with getting a deal over the line for one of their other key targets instead.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The truth is that they were completely focused on the transfer of (Moises) Caicedo which took up all their energy,&#8217;
