Trent Alexander-Arnold\u00a0has been spotted with his Liverpool team-mates out for a pre-match walk ahead of their Merseyside derby clash against Everton\u00a0–\u00a0with the England international reportedly set to start\u00a0despite being involved in a car crash on Friday.<\/p>\n
Reports in The Sun claimed the England and Liverpool star\u00a0had a serious scare while driving yesterday as a 40ft electricity pylon crashed onto a car in front of the his<\/span>\u00a0Range Rover when he was out in 70mph winds.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n The 25-year-old was out driving on a wet rural road near Knutsford, Cheshire when he had to swerve to avoid the high-voltage power unit and collided with a BMW X5 in doing so.<\/p>\n It was a near-miss for Alexander-Arnold as the electrical pylon lay scrapped on the road’s banking, with the huge infrastructure capable of inflicting serious damage if it had fallen on the footballer’s luxury vehicle.<\/p>\n Despite this, the full-back was seen out and about on Saturday morning on a pre-stroll with his Liverpool team-mates ahead of the lunchtime kick off.\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Trent Alexander-Arnold has been spotted with his Liverpool team-mates out for a pre-match walk ahead of their Merseyside derby clash against Everton on Saturday lunchtime<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Alexander-Arnold was in conversation with Dominik Szoboszlai and appeared unhurt despite reportedly being involved in a terrifying crash on Friday where he ‘cheated death<\/p>\n The players were walking near to Everton’s new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium before the match at Anfield, where the Reds can go top of the Premier League\u00a0with a victory.\u00a0<\/p>\n Alexander-Arnold was in conversation with Dominik Szoboszlai with the right-back having just returned from international duty with England.<\/p>\n He impressed and played the full game against Australia last Friday, but remained an unused substitute during the 3-1 victory over Italy on Tuesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n With regards to the incident, the pylon,\u00a0which weighs half a ton, careened down on top of the other vehicle at the scene with Alexander-Arnold and the BMW driver fortunately escaping the incident unhurt.<\/p>\n However, the England international was reportedly left shaken with a witness explaining it was a shock nobody had been killed in the startling countryside accident caused by\u00a0the devastating Storm Babet sweeping across the nation.<\/p>\n The report went onto claim Alexander-Arnold got out of his Range Rover after slamming into the side of the BMW and checked on the other road user to make sure they were ok.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jurgen Klopp’s side were out for a stroll in the city ahead of the 12:30PM kick off at Anfield<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Alexander-Arnold is reportedly set to start for the Reds in the Merseyside derby<\/p>\n His vehicle was still seriously damaged by the accident with the \u00a390,000 black Range Rover smashed and missing pieces of its front-left bumper, while the headlight was also broken.<\/p>\n Electrical wires from inside the vehicle’s bonnet were visible through remnants of the destroyed bumper with parts of the car shown to be barely hanging on as a result of the impact.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the white BMW was reportedly missing a headlight that was strewn across the middle of the road with the front-left wheel sat on its rim and a huge crack in the side of the bodywork was also visible.<\/p>\n Police were called to the scene and the electrical supply running through the huge pylon was turned off.<\/p>\n Alexander-Arnold was later involved in team training with Liverpool on Friday.<\/p>\n Chesire Police issued a statement on Friday explaining the incident as they said: ‘At 10.34am this morning we were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a black Range Rover and a BMW.<\/p>\n ‘An electricity pole had fallen into the road, causing the accident.<\/p>\n ‘Nobody was injured and everything was cleared by 1.05pm. We called the energy company and had the electricity turned off.’<\/p>\n Devastation has been caused across the country due to the effects of Storm Babet with a passenger plane also skidding off the runway in Leeds.<\/p>\n
