Arsenal were reportedly on a scouting mission in Turkey on Saturday ahead of the January transfer window. Galatasaray right-back Sacha Boey continues to be linked with the Gunners but three of his team-mates could also be on their radar.

Arsenal spent around £210million on new signings in the summer transfer window. But Mikel Arteta knows he must continue to improve his squad to challenge the likes of Manchester City for major honours.

Arteta has previously stated he would use every window to its maximum in an attempt to bring the glory days back to north London. January could be a chance for Arsenal to add extra pieces to the jigsaw heading into the second half of this season.

Boey started the game, with former Gunners star Lucas Torreira also in the same side.

Fotospor says Brighton, Manchester United and Burnley scouts were also due to be in attendance. Boey is the player most scouts were looking at after an impressive couple of years since joining from Rennes in 2021.

But the same report says three other of Boey’s team-mates were also set to be watched. Winger Kerem Akturkoglu, as well as centre-back duo Victor Nelsson and Abdulkerim Bardakci were on the scouts’ agenda.

Akturkoglu and Bardakci both started the match but Nelsson had to settle for a place on the bench. It was the same scenario for Galatasaray’s win over Manchester United in the Champions League earlier this month.
