Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka has taken a major step towards full fitness at the club\u2019s Carrington HQ.<\/p>\n
The right-back has been missing since September 16 after sustaining a hamstring injury in the closing stages of United\u2019s home loss to Brighton.<\/p>\n
But Wan-Bissaka has now resumed training on the grass at the club\u2019s training HQ and is closing in on a return to availability.<\/p>\n
There is hope he could be available within the next 10 days should the final stages of his rehabilitation goes according to plan.<\/p>\n
Ten Hag\u2019s side face Manchester City in the derby on Sunday before welcoming Newcastle in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Reintroducing the right-back in the Manchester derby may be deemed too risky for Wan-Bissaka given the intensity of the fixture.<\/p>\n
Nevertheless, the full-back\u2019s pending return will come as a boost to Erik ten Hag, who has been beset by defensive injury problems this season.<\/p>\n
Regulars Luke Shaw and Lisandro Martinez are both long-term absentees. Raphael Varane, Sergio Reguilon, Jonny Evans, Tyrell Malacia and Wan-Bissaka have all spent spells on the sidelines due to injury so far this season.<\/p>\n
