A Manchester United supporter has been arrested after a picture emerged of a man allegedly throwing a missile at Manchester City's Erling Haaland.<\/p>\n
Haaland was allegedly targeted with a thrown object after scoring his first goal from the penalty spot in a 3-0 triumph for Pep Guardiola's team. Greater Manchester Police later confirmed that a man had been arrested.<\/p>\n
They said that they were made aware of the incident and the arrest was made on suspicion of throwing a missile before he was bailed.<\/p>\n

The statement read: "On Sunday 29 October 2023 at around 5pm, officers received reports of a missile being thrown by a man at the Manchester United v Manchester City fixture at Old Trafford Football Stadium. <\/p>\n
"Officers detained a 34-year-old man, and he was arrested on suspicion of throwing a missile under the Football Offences Act 1991.<\/p>\n
"He was interviewed and has been bailed with conditions not to attend any designated football match during the bail period. Enquiries remain ongoing."<\/p>\n

A total of 11 people were arrested following the Manchester derby on Sunday with GMP saying that they would be "'leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all spectators and the public."<\/p>\n
Haaland's penalty goal came after he claimed to be hearing chants of Roy Keane's name from the stands.<\/p>\n
He said: "There were so many people singing 'Keano', I don't know why. But I used it as motivation and gave them a good celebration."<\/p>\n
