Man Utd v Newcastle: Pictures

Manchester United have received an offer from an OnlyFans-like website called My.Club, who have claimed that they will send over 500 pairs of socks to the Red Devils following their 3-0 defeat to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday. United players have reportedly been forced to use non-branded socks rather than their club official option in recent games.

The Telegraph have claimed that several United players complained that the Adidas version of their socks were “too tight” and instead are wearing replicas which cost £13 online. They last wore the official socks during their 2-0 defeat to Tottenham in August and have since opted for a cheaper version as they are deemed to be more comfortable.

Adidas are said to be making alterations but until those are complete, United’s stars have been offered over 500 new pairs of socks by subscription-based creator platform My.Club. Similar to OnlyFans, the website is hoping to give United a hand with their players’ concerns after a disappointing start to the season.

Their offer read: “My.Club, an adult subscription website, is offering to outfit Manchester United with comfortable socks after reports surfaced that several players have complained about them being too tight around their calves. The company is offering to send 500+ pairs of socks to the club.

“‘Manchester United have had a pitiful start to their campaign and the last thing they need to deal with are complaints that their kits are too tight’, said Mike Ford, Vice President of My.Club.

“We here at My.Club know a thing or two about the importance of having comfortable socks. Our socks are cushioned and breathable. After all, it’s important that fashion and function go hand in hand. Send us an address via Twitter (@mydotclub) and they will be delivered ASAP.

“My.Club has been eager to penetrate the football world and reach a new audience of loyal fans and creators. The company has submitted several bids to be the kit sponsor for European football clubs, including Inter Milan and – most recently – Chelsea.”
