Listen here to It&#8217;s All Kicking Off\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Manchester United aim to recruit a support striker for Rasmus Hojlund\u00a0in January amid concerns over their \u00a372million signing\u2019s development.<\/p>\n<p>The Denmark striker is yet to open his Premier League account since arriving from Atalanta in the summer, though he has scored three times in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The 20-year-old arrived at Old Trafford nursing a back injury which has hampered his start to life with United.<\/p>\n<p>However, there is also a sense at United that Hojlund would benefit from working alongside a more experienced centre-forward, who would also be able to share the goalscoring burden.<\/p>\n<p>Given his young age, United are considering adding a more seasoned centre-forward to their ranks at the turn of the year, believing the right addition would add value to Hojlund&#8217;s development.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/02\/18\/77334731-12703917-image-a-1_1698950676979.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Rasmus Hojlund has yet to open his Premier League account since his \u00a372m summer transfer<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/02\/18\/77334783-12703917-image-a-2_1698950790249.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Man United believe Hojlund could benefit from working with an experienced forward<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/02\/18\/77334855-12703917-image-a-3_1698950909368.jpg\" height=\"439\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Anthony Martial is Man United&#8217;s other striker but is not viewed to have a long-term future<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>At the moment, Anthony Martial is the only other recognised centre-forward in the United squad.<\/p>\n<p>The Frenchman\u2019s time at United has been largely unconvincing with Martial, 27 appearing to have no long-term future at United with his contract expiring at the end of the season.<\/p>\n<p>Of United\u2019s 11 Premier League goals this season, only one has been scored by a recognised forward &#8211; Marcus Rashford\u2019s strike in the loss at Arsenal.<\/p>\n<p>With that in mind, United recruitment staff are monitoring experienced striking talent across Europe with a view to making a January signing not only to add much needed firepower but to ease the pressure on Hojlund.<\/p>\n<p>Brentford striker Ivan Toney is set to leave in one of the next two windows with United known to be monitoring the England striker\u2019s situation.<\/p>\n<p>Porto striker Mehdi Taremi, 31, has been linked with a move to Old Trafford in the summer and could interest United with the Iran international\u2019s current deal set to expire at the end of the season.<\/p>\n<p>United have also been heavily linked with Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/02\/18\/77334933-12703917-image-a-9_1698951080266.jpg\" height=\"421\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Manchester United are known to have been monitoring Ivan Toney&#8217;s situation at Brentford<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/02\/18\/77334989-12703917-image-a-10_1698951086902.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Porto&#8217;s\u00a0Mehdi Taremi would be an experienced option with his contract expiring this summer<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/02\/18\/77335055-12703917-image-a-11_1698951197888.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Erik ten Hag remains key to the club&#8217;s recruitment plans despite facing mounting pressure<\/p>\n<p>There is a willingness at United to improve the squad in January following their disappointing start.<\/p>\n<p>Under pressure manager Erik ten Hag continues to play a key role behind the scenes with regards to January\u2019s recruitment plans and talks over contract extensions.<\/p>\n<p>But while Ten Hag is under no immediate danger of the sack, if the team\u2019s form does not improve rapidly then the United boss will find himself under major pressure.<\/p>\n<p>For now though, United are planning to improve the squad in January &#8211;
