{"id":296061,"date":"2023-11-10T00:24:08","date_gmt":"2023-11-10T00:24:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportslifetale.com\/?p=296061"},"modified":"2023-11-10T00:24:08","modified_gmt":"2023-11-10T00:24:08","slug":"dane-rashford-hit-girlfriend-after-finding-messages-from-prem-star","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportslifetale.com\/soccer\/dane-rashford-hit-girlfriend-after-finding-messages-from-prem-star\/","title":{"rendered":"Dane Rashford &apos;hit girlfriend after finding messages from Prem star&apos;"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Soccer star Marcus Rashford&#8217;s sports agent brother allegedly &#8216;punched&#8217; his girlfriend after &#8216;finding messages from a Premier League player on her phone&#8217;<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Reports did not indicate which Premier League player was sending the messages<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Dane Rashford pled not guilty to the charges and is out on $1,500 bond<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>DailyMail.com provides all the latest international sports news\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dane Rashford &#8211; the sports agent older brother of Manchester United star Marcus Rashford &#8211; allegedly attacked his girlfriend after discovering messages from an unnamed Premier League star, according to The Sun.<\/p>\n<p>Dane pled not guilty to the charges of battery and is currently out on $1,500 bond after the incident in Miami.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The British vacationers were staying at the Kimpton Angler\u2019s Hotel where staff spotted a woman walking through the lobby with a bloodied nose in the early hours of October 20.<\/p>\n<p>When officers arrived outside room 335 they heard a \u2018verbal altercation\u2019 between a male and female, whom they identified as 31-year-old Rashford and Andrea Pocrnja, the mother of his 14-month-old child.<\/p>\n<p>The report says the pair were travelling back from trendy Miami nightspot, E11even when the sibling of Manchester United and England star Marcus Rashford \u2018went through the victim\u2019s phone and found text messages from her and another male\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The arrestee stated that he pushed the victim while they were in the Uber,\u2019 the report states.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/09\/23\/77578183-12732521-Dane_Rashford_was_arrested_last_month_in_Florida_on_a_charge_of_-a-37_1699573899413.jpg\" height=\"396\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Dane Rashford allegedly beat his girlfriend after finding messages on her phone from a Premier League star while on vacation in Miami Beach last month, according to The Sun<\/p>\n<p>Pocrnja was lying on the bed crying and had \u2018visible injuries to her face\u2019, the complaint goes on.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The victim stated that the arrestee struck her in the face twice with a closed fist. The arrestee then got out of the Uber and walked away with the victim\u2019s phone.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Once the victim was inside their hotel room, the arrestee entered the hotel room and a verbal argument ensued in regard to the text messages he saw on her phone.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The victim was on the phone with the front desk in an attempt to get the Wi-Fi password so that she could disable her phone that the arrestee had at the time.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The arrestee assumed that the victim was calling the police and a physical altercation began, which she does not remember specifics of because she was intoxicated.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The report says that Rashford\u2019s sister, Chantelle Maynard, was babysitting the couple\u2019s toddler and both her and the child were in the hotel room when the bust-up unfolded.<\/p>\n<p>She witnessed her brother becoming irate, kicking a closet door and causing visible damage.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/08\/22\/77579215-12727387-image-a-116_1699484101716.jpg\" height=\"538\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Dane Rashford is no longer in jail, and the assistant state prosecutor doesn&#8217;t know if he&#8217;s still in the USA<\/p>\n<p>But \u2018the witness stated that she did not see the arrestee strike the victim at any point,\u2019 the complaint says.<\/p>\n<p>Rashford was taken to jail at 3:30am while Pocrnja &#8211; who has been dating Rashford for four years and shares a home with him in Wilmslow, just outside Manchester, northwest England &#8211; was taken to another hotel room because she felt \u2018unsafe.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The complaint adds that her injuries were photographed by police and she was treated by a first responder. There is no mention of her being taken to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>A phone number listed on the arrest documents for Rashford, who was released on a $1,500 cash bond, was out of service when DailyMail.com rang for comment.<\/p>\n<p>Rashford was ordered to have no contact with his alleged victim.<\/p>\n<p>He submitted a written plea of not guilty to battery misdemeanor and is due in court for an arraignment on November 27.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/08\/23\/77580497-12727387-image-a-123_1699486163597.jpg\" height=\"634\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Dane Rashford (left),\u00a0Dwaine Maynard and Marcus Rashford are seen in an undated photo<\/p>\n<p>According to Miami-Dade County police records, Dane&#8217;s bond was paid by Chantelle Maynard a week after his arrest.<\/p>\n<p>He was also issued a pre-trial &#8216;stay-away&#8217; order &#8211; which prohibits contact with the alleged victim.<\/p>\n<p>Daysi Vega-Mendez, the assistant state prosecutor for Miami Dade County, told The Telegraph that they weren&#8217;t sure whether Dane was still in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The case is still active, at the moment I haven&#8217;t been able to get hold of the victim,&#8217; they said. &#8216;Our office is trying to get hold of the UK Embassy because we need permission to speak to the victim.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0&#8216;I am not sure whether they are still in the United States or if they have left the country. I understand they were on vacation. Technically once you are charged you are not supposed to leave the country.
