Manchester United have reportedly received an approach from Juventus for out-of-favour winger Jadon Sancho. The Serie A giants are keen to explore a potential January deal to ease one headache for Erik ten Hag.

Sancho hasn’t kicked a ball for United since the 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest in August. He was left out of the squad for the loss at Arsenal in September after Ten Hag claimed he failed to meet standards in training.

Just hours after Ten Hag’s public comment, Sancho hit back in a now-deleted social media post. The 23-year-old said he was fed up with being the scapegoat and has been used as one “for a long time”.

Ten Hag wants Sancho to apologise before he can be reintegrated back into the first team. The apology is yet to come and he has therefore been training away from the main group at Carrington.

A January exit looks likely and it appears Juventus could offer him an escape route. Fabrizio Romano says the Old Lady have already made contact in the last few days regarding a potential winter move.

However, Juve would only currently be willing to sign Sancho on loan, with United still covering part of his wages. Romano claims the Red Devils would prefer to sell the former Borussia Dortmund star and are therefore waiting to see if any club shows interest in a permanent move.

Sancho joined United from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 and has made 82 appearances in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and registering six assists. Some reports have recently suggested that he has been kicked out of the squad’s WhatsApp group by Ten Hag as well as being made to eat away from the first team in the canteen.
