Tammy Abraham has been spotted undergoing some light training with his AS Roma teammates as he looks to get back to playing after suffering an bad ACL injury.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Abraham suffered the\u00a0serious knee injury in Roma’s penultimate game of the 2022\/23 season against Spezia.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The former Chelsea striker landed awkwardly on his left leg just 17 minutes after he came off the bench, and was taken off the field on the back of a medical cart.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The 26-year-old was visibly distraught after suffering the injury to his ACL, with teammates consoling the tearful striker.\u00a0<\/p>\n
However, according to Il Corriere dello Sport, Abraham has been seen doing some running with his Roma teammates in recent days.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Abraham has had a mixed career at Roma but has still managed to score 36 goals in 107 games<\/p>\n

Footage on Saturday showed Abraham\u00a0involved in some running drills with the rest of the available first team players, however this does not mean he will not be back soon.<\/p>\n
Abraham’s injury ruled him out for the most of 2023 and he is tipped for a potential return at the end of January, or possibly even mid-February.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Though initially he was ruled out for a period of three to four months, it soon became clear that Abraham required surgery and faced an even longer spell on the sidelines.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The injury also scuppered Roma’s transfer plans as the England international was linked with move away from the\u00a0Stadio Olimpico that would free up both funds and space in the squad.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Premier League Aston Villa had reportedly agreed to buy Abraham for \u00a326m before his injury made the deal collapse.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Abraham spent the 2018\/19 season on loan at Villa Park, and became the first Villa player to score 25 goals in a season since Andy Gray in 1977.<\/p>\n
He finished the season with 26 goals in 40 appearances and helped Villa get promoted back to the Premier League.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The striker has had a mixed experience in Rome, but has still managed to bag himself 36 goals and 12 assists in 107 appearances for the club.\u00a0<\/p>\n
