The Racecourse Association (RCA) have urged all their members to intensify security after an unprecedented threat to trainers.<\/p>\n
Essex Police have launched an investigation after 10 trainers, including Nicky Henderson, Gary Moore and Charlie Fellows, received phone calls from an individual \u2014 who calls himself the Acid Man \u2014 claiming he will throw acid in their faces the next time he sees them on a racecourse.<\/p>\n
RCA director Caroline Davies said: ‘The racecourses have resilient and robust plans in place. This kind of threat is unprecedented and we want everyone to be safe.’<\/p>\n
The National Trainers Federation (NTF) reported the threats to police.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Essex Police said it was investigating ‘a number of reports of malicious communications’ on November 10 which it believes were linked.<\/p>\n
