Mercedes chief Toto Wolff’s face was priceless after he and Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur were summoned to the stewards at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix for their sweary press conference last time out. The duo exited together and were spotted on their way to hear their punishment for lashing out in a media briefing in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n
In a report published by the FIA on Thursday ahead of the final race of the season, the stewards noted: “The purpose of the Hearing will be to determine if there is a breach of Article 12.2.1.f of the FIA International Sporting Code and if so, what if any action should follow.”<\/p>\n
Wolff was captured with a huge grin on his face as he was clearly aware that the F1 bosses may not have taken too kindly to his outburst last time out and is prepared for whatever punishment is dished out.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s completely ridiculous,\u201d Wolff said during an unusual press conference with other team principals in Las Vegas, including Vasseur as he was disappointed in the criticisms of the first race in Sin City following a lengthy delay in FP2. \u201cHow can you even dare talk bad about an event that sets the new standards to everything?<\/p>\n
