The agenda continues.&#8217; One fan wrote in anger, believing their team was denied a goal that would have seen them take the lead against the Bees.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/25\/18\/78230971-12790767-image-m-52_1700937758524.jpg\" height=\"434\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Arsenal&#8217;s Leandro Trossard was denied a first half goal as VAR ruled the Belgian to be offside\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/25\/18\/78230883-12790767-image-a-50_1700937748769.jpg\" height=\"435\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Trossard pounced after Mark Flekken had saved Gabriel Jesus&#8217; header but it was disallowed\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/25\/18\/78230881-12790767-image-a-53_1700937771386.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Despite the players celebrating, it was short lived after VAR ruled the goal out for offside\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>Whereas another blames the actual offside rule itself rather than the decision made by the VAR officials, stating: &#8216;Offside rule is nonsensical. There\u2019s no advantage gained in that situation man.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Although, there were some others who still doubted the decision, especially given the camera angle they had, and called for semi-automatic offsides to be introduced to stop the debates on offside calls.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Are you telling me that was the ONLY camera angle they had?&#8217; The bemoaned on X.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;No way you can actually tell from that, getting semi-automatic offside decisions from the world cup immediately.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Some fans even went into delirium over the decision, after not understanding how this was given, but Antony Gordon&#8217;s controversial goal against the Gunners at Newcastle earlier this month was allowed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/25\/19\/78231647-12790767-image-a-71_1700939829177.jpg\" height=\"162\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/25\/19\/78231645-12790767-image-a-70_1700939825718.jpg\" height=\"177\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/25\/19\/78231641-12790767-image-a-72_1700939831426.jpg\" height=\"224\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/25\/19\/78231635-12790767-image-a-73_1700939835472.jpg\" height=\"167\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Arsenal fans were not happy with the call and took to social media to vent their frustration\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The post reading: &#8216;HAHAHAAHAHA they said they couldn\u2019t see from the angle that Gordon was offside at Newcastle but they could see this one.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, watching on in the <span>TNT Sports <\/span>studio, pundit Peter Crouch disagreed with the Arsenal fans online and agreed VAR did get it right, before going state it was Arsenal&#8217;s best play of the first period.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I think he was just off.&#8217; Crouch said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Great throw in down the left from Zinchenko, comes back to Saka. I think it was Arsenal&#8217;s best bit of play. It was quick, it was incisive. It was a great ball from Saka.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I think Jesus has got to head it down there. If you look, he&#8217;s got good contact on it. If he heads that down, it goes in, it&#8217;s too close to the keeper&#8217;s arms. I think it was the right call, he&#8217;s just offside.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Crouch&#8217;s studio partner Rio Ferdinand was also far from impressed with Arsenal&#8217;s first half display.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I think they&#8217;ve been a bit laboured.&#8217; said Ferdinand.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;That sharpness hasn&#8217;t been there you usually associate with Arsenal around the box. Brentford have sat back for long periods and been penned back. But they&#8217;ve looked comfortable. The first time they change the rhythm of the game and quicken it up, they create an opportunity like that.
