Premier League fans have demanded another 10-point deduction for Everton after the club released its “awful” clothing range.

The Toffees were hit with a severe 10-point deduction last week for breaching the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules. It left Sean Dyche’s side five points adrift of safety and in serious risk of relegation this season for the first time in the club’s history.

Many fans have felt the punishment too drastic and protested against it during the home fixture against Manchester United on the weekend. Yet Everton’s new clothing range released on the club’s official store has been deemed a similarly punishment-worthy offence by rival fans.

Everton revealed their collaboration with sponsors Hummel for a brand new trainer. The white trainer resembled the style of Adidas’ classic Gazelle shoes, but with the addition of Hummel’s two arrows in blue to represent Everton’s colours, extra blue on the back section and ‘Everton’ in gold letters.

But many took to social media to poke fun at the design choice. And others were left flabbergasted by the £90 price-tag.

A third joked: “90 quid for you to get bullied at Wetherspoons, hard pass,” while a fourth bluntly said: “Possibly the worst webs I’ve set eyes on.”

Everton have appealed the points penalty handed down by an independent commission, with director of football, Kevin Thelwell, labelling the outcome a "wholly disproportionate and unjust ruling.” But manager Dyche has instead asked his players to simply get on with it, with the 19th-placed Toffees having a great chance to make up ground against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
