{"id":297904,"date":"2023-11-29T18:24:08","date_gmt":"2023-11-29T18:24:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportslifetale.com\/?p=297904"},"modified":"2023-11-29T18:24:08","modified_gmt":"2023-11-29T18:24:08","slug":"karate-combat-open-negotiations-with-darren-till-over-a-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportslifetale.com\/mma\/karate-combat-open-negotiations-with-darren-till-over-a-deal\/","title":{"rendered":"Karate Combat open negotiations with Darren Till over a deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Karate Combat open negotiations with Darren Till over a deal for the New Year and plot a\u00a0middleweight title fight against current champion Ross Levine<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ex-UFC welterweight title challenger Till is being targeted\u00a0by Karate Combat<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>They are hoping for a fight with former middleweight slugger Sam Alvey, 37<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The haters will never forgive tarnished Conor Benn, but why this is a fight we just have to see &#8211;\u00a0The Hook\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Former UFC welterweight title challenger Darren Till is being targeted by Karate Combat for a potential middleweight title fight against current champion Ross Levine.<\/p>\n<p>The rising promotion is hoping Till &#8211; who now competes in the 185-pound division &#8211; will take Levine on at some point in 2024 after his potential opponent faces\u00a0former middleweight slugger &#8216;Smile&#8217;N&#8217; Sam Alvey.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As it stands,\u00a0Levine is scheduled to fight Alvey as part of the Karate Combat event on December 15, with\u00a0Anthony Pettis and Ben Henderson&#8217;s trilogy bout headlining the bill.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, Levine has made it clear he would be interested in fighting Till &#8211; claiming they could have a &#8216;great all-striking fight for his\u00a0Karate Combat Middleweight Championship&#8217;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about the potential bout, Levine said:\u00a0&#8216;Darren Till made some tweet about how he could demolish the entire Karate Combat roster in one night \u2014 I was like great, I&#8217;ll take care of that.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/29\/17\/78382851-12805875-image-a-3_1701277829237.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Former UFC welterweight title challenger Darren Till is being targeted by Karate Combat for a potential middleweight title fight against current champion Ross Levine<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/29\/17\/78382947-12805875-image-a-4_1701278146706.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The rising promotion is hoping Till &#8211; who now competes in the 185-pound division &#8211; will take Levine on at some point in 2024 after his potential opponent faces Sam Alvey (right)<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I think we match up amazingly and he&#8217;s got crazy good striking skills. He&#8217;s only ever really had problems with guys that can wrestle. We&#8217;d have an all-striking fight and it would be great.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Levine finished by saying: &#8216;Obviously I am happy to put my Karate Combat Middleweight Championship on the line for him as well. Immediate title shot, come and get it!&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Karate Combat President Asim Zaidi told Daily Star Sport. &#8216;We&#8217;ll return to negotiations in 2024 and hopefully get that fight made early in the new year.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Till is currently a free agent following his release from the UFC earlier this year. His departure from the promotion came after three straight losses, with the Brit citing a desire to recover from ongoing injury problems and pursue other avenues in combat sports.<\/p>\n<p>Till continues to train and a photo of him following a training session did the rounds on social media on Monday. However, the response was not an entirely positive one with fans saying he looked old, unwell and out of shape.<\/p>\n<p>Till quickly took to Twitter to hit back at the feedback, sharing another photo of himself looking much healthier and writing: &#8216;It&#8217;s all good, it was just after a hard session in the gym this morning.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;This is me about an hour ago after food. Feel like I am not looking bad to be fair. I read all the comments for once as well and none of you have a clue. I live a clean life. Injuries is what has been my burden.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It&#8217;s just an after training photo, I look that f***** cos I worked my ass into the ground this morning,&#8217; he continued. &#8216;As I do every day. Ur gonna look f***** if you train hard and dedicate hard and evolve hard.
