KSI’s bid to overturn his controversial defeat to Tommy Fury in October has been spurned.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The YouTuber-turned-puncher lodged an appeal with the Professional Boxing Association, who sanctioned the bout, but an independent review panel has denied his desires.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Fury beat KSI in Manchester by unanimous decision, although on the night it was incorrectly called as a majority decision.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He won despite having a point deducted for punching around the back of the head in their clash at the AO Arena in Manchester.<\/p>\n
A statement from the PBA read: ‘The PBA confirms that an independent review panel, consisting of two of the country\u2019s leading King’s Counsel and a third lawyer, has determined that there are no grounds to overturn the KSI vs Tommy Fury fight result from October 14, 2023.’<\/p>\n

KSI was furious in the aftermath of the fight, saying:\u00a0\u00a0‘Robbery, it’s a robbery. You weren’t landing, look at your face. Look at you. I’m the YouTuber and you’re the boxer, you have to win.’<\/p>\n
He told DAZN: ‘I understand the Fury name. I won it. It’s outrageous. Minus a point as well. I landed the cleanest shots. He couldn’t get any jabs off.\u00a0<\/p>\n
After being penalised, Fury claimed that KSI was not similarly cautioned for clinching\u00a0during their fight.<\/p>\n
‘I thought it was ridiculous,’ he said. ‘In the professional fights, proper fights, you’re meant to have a couple of offences. The first time I did it, bang, a point off.<\/p>\n
‘But he didn’t get a point off for holding all the fight. What’s that about?’<\/p>\n
The 24-year-old victor threw more punches, and landed more shots, but KSI was more accurate with his punches, landing with 31% of his attempts, as opposed to Fury’s 25%.<\/p>\n

KSI was livid after his defeat, claiming ‘it’s a robbery’ and hiring a lawyer for his appeal<\/p>\n
‘Only thing that got robbed is his hair line,’ Paul posted on X, formerly Twitter. ‘It’s okay KSI me too it’s gonna be okay bubba.<\/p>\n
‘I took my loss like a man from the scorecard read and showed the youth how to learn from it and come back to take a W.<\/p>\n
‘This 30-year-old man crying for an appeal.’<\/p>\n
Paul and Conor McGregor are thought to be in the running to be KSI’s next opponent after the first defeat of his career.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
