Despite the frustration of finding himself supplanted between the sticks for Arsenal, Gunners goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale seems in fine spirits.

Having started the season as Mikel Arteta's first choice in net, Ramsdale was replaced by ex-Brentford keeper David Raya following the September international break. Since then, he has featured just three times for Arsenal, with two of those fixtures coming against the Bees with Raya being ineligible due to being on-loan with an option to buy.

On Wednesday evening, a rampant Arsenal performance saw the Gunners claim a 6-0 win over Ligue 1's Lens in the Champions League, avenging their 2-1 loss to the French side back in October. Ramsdale was again on the bench.

But despite once again not being involved in the Arsenal starting line-up, it appears the England international is still in good spirits. Footage captured by TNT Sports following the Lens game show the 25-year-old and his father, Nick Ramsdale, 'stealing' Christmas decorations from the Arsenal tree at the Emirates, with the latter jokingly covering for his son by holding up his jacket.

Nick was spotted putting a bright red babel inside his coat, while Ramsdale dipped his head to avoid the gaze of the people outside the building as he left, with the actions of the two prompting laughter from those who witnessed the event.

Clearly chuffed, Ramsdale's father turned around as he walked away, showing off the decoration to fans with a big smile on his face. And the clip was also a hit with Arsenal fans on social media too, who enjoyed what they saw from the Ramsdale's.

But with his future at the Emirates currently in the balance as things stand, there were plenty of fans claiming Ramsdale was just seeing what he could take away from the club before he is sold in January.

However, with Ramsdale having inked a new long-term deal back in May through till 2026, it might seem beneficial to both him and Arsenal to figure out a loan move away from the Emirates for the remainder of the season, something which would allow him to play regular minutes in a bid to make Gareth Southgate's England squad for EURO 2024.
