Everton supporter coaches have now joined the anti-Premier League protests by coming together in bizarre fashion.

The Toffees were deducted 10 points for breaching the league’s profit and sustainability rules last month. Fans have since protested the decision at every opportunity, booing the Premier League anthem, paying for a plane banner and holding up ‘corrupt’ placards during their first game at home since it was implemented.

Sean Dyche’s side were nonetheless able to secure a crucial 1-0 win during their visit to Nottingham Forest on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Goodison faithful sought to make an impact off the pitch with another creative protest.

The Toffees, now in 18th place, launched a formal appeal against the independent commission’s decision this week. An appeal board will be appointed to hear the case, which will need to be resolved before the end of the 2023/24 season due to its impact on who will face relegation.

Following the win over Forest, they are two points shy of Luton Town, who sit just above the relegation zone. Dyche’s men next take on the tougher challenge of hosting Newcastle on Thursday in an evening clash.
