Tottenham midfielder\u00a0Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was the victim of an unfortunate gaffe on the ball during their game with West Ham on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The Swiss star was making just his third start of the season for Ange Postecoglou’s side in the London derby after slipping down the pecking order.\u00a0<\/p>\n
As he ran in behind to receive a pass from Brennan Johnson in the first half, Hojberg went to cross the ball.<\/p>\n
However, the midfielder tried to hit it with his left foot first time, but the ball bounced off his standing right foot.<\/p>\n
As a result, Hojberg completely missed the ball and fell over in hilarious fashion.<\/p>\n

One said: ‘This is what the Internet is for. Great skills from Hojbjerg for Spurs.’<\/p>\n
Another quipped: ‘Poor dive from Hojbjerg that,’ while a further fan joked: ‘Hojberg got skills.’<\/p>\n
More supporters piled in on the unfortunate Swiss star – who joined Spurs from Southampton in 2020 for \u00a315million.<\/p>\n
One added: ‘Do Southampton somehow have a buyback clause on Hojbjerg? I think the Championship would suit him well.’<\/p>\n

Fans were quick to mock the Tottenham midfielder for his unfortunate gaffe on the ball<\/p>\n
A further fan said: ‘Hojberg just pulled a Tierney – tears.’<\/p>\n
Injury-ravaged Spurs came into the clash having secured a memorable 3-3 draw away at Man City on Sunday.<\/p>\n
They sat in fifth place ahead of kick off, three points behind Pep Guardiola’s side in fourth after picking up just one point from their past four games.<\/p>\n
