The F1 season may have screeched to a frenetic end in terms of the championship season, but that hasn’t stopped the wheels turning behind the scenes.<\/p>\n

Drivers from all team garages are still reporting for duty before they officially head away for the festive period, with one of the concluding acts this weeks coming in the form of the annual FIA ceremony, hosting a glitz of names from the sport’s illustrious past and present.<\/p>\n

Lewis Hamilton, as ever, was front and centre during proceedings. The Mercedes talisman and living F1 legend took time aside to address the room regarding the performance and development of his arch rival Max Verstappen, as the Dutchman delighted in the showering of praise.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Verstappen was in simply unstoppable form over the past 12 months, and many pundits and fans alike believe it is likely to be impossible to catch him in the near future.<\/p>\n

One man who has sights firmly set on doing so is Ferrari pin-up Charles Leclerc, who this week has had the rule ran over him by the iconic Johnny Herbert. Herbert sat down exclusively with Express Sport to digest the campaign and speak all things F1 going forward.<\/p>\n

Leclerc still locked in Ferrari talks<\/h3>\n

The Monaco-born ace Charles Leclerc is one of the most exciting drivers on the grid, but having that in his favour has done little to accelerate talks with Ferrari.<\/p>\n

Negotiations continue as both parties look to extend their current agreement beyond 2024, and British icon Johnny Herbert believes that the 26-year-old can, and will, win a title with the Prancing Horse.<\/p>\n

Hamilton’s true colours exposed<\/h3>\n

Despite his fierce and fiery manner of conduct on the race track, Lewis Hamilton is very much a man of honour.<\/p>\n

Hamilton showed his class when heaping praise on\u00a0Max Verstappen\u00a0at the FIA prize-giving Gala in Azerbaijan, in front of a packed room.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Mercedes\u00a0star hailed his rival whilst collecting his third-place trophy, but made sure that he sent a word of warning to the rest of the grid when assessing his hopes ahead of next season.<\/p>\n
