<\/p>\nFans were shocked that Everton would be "fighting for Europe" without their 10-point deduction after beating Burnley 2-0.<\/p>\n
The Toffees recorded their fourth successive victory – and clean sheet – away at Turf Moor on Saturday (December 16) evening, climbing to 16th in the table and seven points clear of the Premier League relegation zone.<\/p>\n
It could have been a very different story had they not been docked 10 points last month for their profit and sustainability rules breach. They'd currently sit eighth in the table, just a win away from Newcastle in sixth.<\/p>\n
