WWE star Cain Velasquez lifts lid on WrestleMania plans ahead of Royal Rumble – EXCLUSIVE

Cain Velasquez has confirmed that he is planning to be part of WrestleMania 36 after a long absence from WWE programming. Velasquez hasn’t been seen on WWE TV ever since last Halloween when he lost his debut match to former UFC rival and WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.

I do, I’m planning to perform

Lesnar retained the WWE Championship in Jeddah by making El Padrino tap out to the Kimura Lock and then launched a savage attack on his ex-MMA foe with a steel chair hinting that the two heavyweights aren’t done with each other just yet.

The two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion hasn’t wrestled since a non-televised live event in Mexico last November where he teamed up with Humberto Carrillo and defeated Luke Gallows as well as Karl Anderson of The OC.

But the 37-year-old fighter is very keen to return to the squared circle and is planning to be a part of WrestleMania on April 5 at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

Velasquez told Express Sport when asked if he is going to be at WrestleMania: “I do, I’m planning to perform. I’ll be there.

Velasquez also claims he could possibly return at the Royal Rumble this Sunday at the Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas.
