Misfits Boxing has confirmed that YouTuber and boxer Ryan Taylor has been arrested, canceling his upcoming match against rapper Swarmz on the MF & DAZN X Series “The Prime Card” on Oct. 13.
Happy Punch Promotions, the brand associated with Misfits Boxing, initially revealed on social media that Taylor was arrested but did not mention the charges. Nearly two hours later, the promotion tweeted: “Update: Ryan Taylor is officially out of the Swarmz fight.”
Mams Taylor, the promoter for Misfits Boxing, officially announced the cancellation of the fight during a live stream of The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani on Wednesday night. According to the promoter, Swarmz will soon learn whether he will remain on the fight card, facing a replacement opponent.
As per information available on DAZN’s website, the rematch was designated to occur in the Middleweight division and was slated to serve as the last about on the preliminary card, leading into the main card. It remains uncertain whether Taylor’s arrest will impact the current order of the card as outlined by the company on its website.

Just two days ago, the rapper announced that he had successfully wrapped up his training camp in preparation for the upcoming fight and expressed his readiness to “destroy.” Upon learning about the possible cancellation of his fight, Swarmz shared his reaction on X, previously known as Twitter.
“Ryan Taylor is a p****. I exposed this man; he is a wet wipe. Why only now [do] you go and get arrested? I want you to prove you got arrested. This sounds like the same excuses you used in our first fight. You are not ready for YouTube boxing. Quit now, timewaster,” he posted.
The upcoming fight between Taylor and Swarmz was a rematch after the pair fought on the undercard of the KSI versus FaZe Temperrr card in January. The British rapper defeated Taylor in a controversial cruiserweight contest by TKO just 49 seconds into the first round of the fight, where he withdrew from the contest.

After their first contest ended, Taylor’s eyes appeared to have a broken orbital bone due to the swelling from taking punches. On Instagram, the boxer shared that he could not see because his opponent’s glove caught him in the eye.
Taylor is known for his BMX freestyle stunts and has a substantial YouTube following of over 2.42 million subscribers. He engaged in two exhibition bouts, experiencing a loss to DK Money in March 2022 and settling for a draw against Anthony Taylor in July.
In his first professional match, Taylor suffered a defeat against Slim Albaher in October. Swarmz is a 26-year-old British rapper who also has a history as a former semi-professional soccer player, with stints in the National League South and the Isthmian League.
Swarmz has collaborated with KSI in the music industry, featuring in KSI’s 2020 single, “Houdini.” In addition to his music career, Swarmz ironically started his boxing career with a match against KSI at The O2 Arena in London, England. This fight served as the opening match for MF & DAZN: X Series 001.
Originally, KSI was scheduled to face Alex Wassabi. However, due to Wassabi’s concussion, he was replaced by the British rapper Swarmz, who had previously called out KSI on a TikTok live. In the match, KSI emerged victorious with a 2nd-round knockout, claiming the MFB cruiserweight title.
