I’m A Celeb’s Tony Bellew admitted to ‘goldfish’ penis in chat with footy legend

Tony Bellew once reassured Everton legend Duncan Ferguson that he only had "a goldfish" after sharing a sauna with the fearsome striker.

Former world boxing champ Bellew is due to enter the public eye once more after he was announced as a late arrival to the new season of 'I'm A Celebrity. . .Get Me Out of Here!' And viewers can look forward to more outlandish reveals after Tony once gave a candid take on his todger after an encounter with Toffees legend Ferguson.

'Bomber' stepped away from the ring in November 2018 following a unification bout with Oleksandr Usyk, failing to go out in a blaze of glory after being stopped by the Ukrainian. But he's remained active in the media, and Ferguson appeared on his regular Tony Bellew Is Angry podcast earlier this year.

Recalling the first time he had a proper conversation with the notorious Scottish hard man, 40-year-old Bellew recalled: "I remember it vividly at Finch Farm [Everton's training base]. I was light-heavyweight at the time and I was cutting weight, and you came into the sauna.

"We were in there about 15 to 20 minutes together and we had a good talk. And I come out after and I remember I phoned my eldest brother and said 'I've just been in the sauna talking with Duncan Ferguson for 20 minutes' and he went to me 'f**k off'."

The conversation soon turned to appearance, with 'Big Dunc' joking: "I hope I had a towel on. You weren't comparing were you?" Only for a humble Bellew to reassure him: "You were sound lad, I've only got a goldfish there's nothing to worry about here."

Bellew also assured the former Forest Green Rovers manager he passed on good comments about him. Ferguson, 51, took over the struggling League Two side in January 2023 having previously served as coach and caretaker manager at Goodison Park.

The Scouse star also got serious in their chat, though, claiming he's taken around 1.1million punches to his head and admitting his fear over developing dementia. Whilst discussing the famous heading ability of Ferguson, he said: "I am well ahead of you, to be honest."

"It is estimated that a boxer takes 50,000 punches to their head a year in training and in fights. So I have been punching people, and getting punched in the face for 22 years."
