Joe Joyce’s rematch with Zhilei Zhang was over even quicker than their first fight, with the Englishman knocked out in the third round at Wembley Arena.
The two behemoths met for a second time with the WBO interim heavyweight title on the line after first clashing at the Copperbox in April.
Zhang caused something of an upset in that first bout, securing a TKO victory in the sixth round, with damage to Joyce’s eye to severe for him to continue.
Many fancied Joyce to gain revenge over the Chinese star on Saturday night, but it was a much easier night for Zhang the second time round.
After an uneventful opening round, Big Bang stepped it up in the second, with the Englishman looking in trouble shortly before the bell.
It was nothing compared to the trouble he found himself in just moments later as he fell face first to the canvas during the third round.
Zhang landed a left to the body and then a crushing right hook which flattened the Juggernaut, and although he impressively rose to his feet, the fight was rightly waved off as Joyce’s record falls to 15-2.
