KSI tried to bet £10K on himself to beat Tommy Fury but had to settle for £600

KSI is so confident he will beat Tommy Fury in their grudge match, he tried to stake £10,000 on it.

The YouTuber faces off against Fury in the double main event at the Misfits Boxing show in Manchester alongside KSI’s Prime partner Logan Paul and Conor McGregor’s long-time team-mate Dillon Danis. Both KSI and Fury hold undefeated professional records coming into the highly-anticipated bout, but the younger brother of heavyweight king Tyson is the hot favourite.

KSI says he is using his underdog status as motivation and is adamant he will be the one celebrating on Saturday night. He reckons his unorthodox style will be too much for former Love Island star Fury.

“I’ve been sparring Olympians, pro boxers and my style just works,” KSI declared during an appearance on That Peter Crouch Podcast. “Yeah it’s awkward, unorthodox, nobody really understands what’s going on. It looks like a bit of a mess but there’s a method to the madness.

“I just feel like when Tommy’s in there with me, he’ll be like ‘f***, I’m underprepared’. What I do is hard but it gets results. I want people to think I have no chance, that I have no right to be in there.

“I’ve even bet on myself to win. I could only put 600 quid on because that’s all they would let me. I wanted to put like 10 grand on, but they wouldn’t let me so I was like, ‘all right, here’s the 600’. I’m so confident that I’m going to destroy him.”

Fury is equally confident and reckons he could take care of KSI after a day of boozing in the pub. He declared: “These guys [YouTubers] don’t really call for me to step up to world title ability. I’m levels above these guys.

“I could beat KSI after 15 pints of beer. I could literally go down the pub all day, fight him at night-time and still beat him. If we fight 100 times I beat him 100 times.”
