Cristiano Ronaldo has gifted Francis Ngannou a watch worth £87,000 ahead of the UFC legend’s cross-over bout with Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia this weekend.

Ngannou smiled as he showed off the Jacob and Co watch, which came in a CR7 stylised case.

He was presented with the gift, from the limited edition line called ‘Heart of Ronaldo’, outside a Jacob and Co outlet.

‘Got to pick up my new watch ahead of fight week here in Riyadh,’ wrote Ngannou as he labelled Ronaldo his ‘brother’.

The two met in Riyadh in January after Ngannou was released from his UFC contract and he called the footballer ‘inspirational’ at the time.

Ronaldo is known to be a fan of combat sports and once admitted that he prefers watching boxing or UFC over football.

He has previously been pictured with many stars from that world, including Floyd Mayweather, Anthony Joshua, and Conor McGregor.

Ngannou is preparing for a blockbuster contest against Fury which has drawn criticism from fans who wanted latter to face Oleksandr Usyk.

Dubbed ‘The Battle of the Baddest’, it will see the Nigerian mixed martial artist compete in his first professional boxing fight.

He is set to pocket more money than he earned across his entire 14-fight UFC career as estimates predict he will earn around £6million.

Ngannou was no small fish in UFC, either – he was the reigning heavyweight champion at the time of his departure.

Mike Tyson has been training Ngannou in a bid to get him ready for the showpiece bout.

While Fury’s WBC belt is not on the line, The Gypsy King previously said he would not show his face in public if he lost, underlining how much the punch-fest means to him.

Last week, Fury said that he was going to knock out his opponent ‘inside six rounds’.

He added: ‘Listen, no one can take my power. Nobody. These heavyweights don’t stand a chance.’
