Horse racing fans have been left in stitches on social media after spotting the name of a rudely named nag racing at Bangor-on-Dee on Wednesday afternoon.
The 4.35 at Bangor-on-dee was won by Wordsworth, rode by Jack Tudor. Third place was claimed by Wise Guy, ridden by Ciaran Gethings. However, the second name on the podium was the one that stood out to social media fans.
Coming in second was 'Black Occ', rode by Sean Houlihan. Obviously, the name 'Black Occ' sounds very different when read out loud fast, something which had racing fans in hysterics after seeing it on social media.

One fan commented upon seeing the podium: "How’s that slipped through the naming net then?" A second added: "Why does it seem like 3rd and 1st are admiring 2nd for getting the name through."
A third wrote: "Read the second one aloud" adding in some crying laughing emojis to his post on X. A fourth said: "Right then who signed off the name of the second." And a fifth said: "How did they get away with that name of the 2nd horse."

Of course, the lewd name could be hazardous for any commentator, especially if they aren't concentrating fully. And given how funny racing fans found the name on social media, any slip up could have resulted in the commentary from the race going viral in a matter of seconds.
