Olympic gold medal winner who posed on the cover of Playboy set to host cup draw

Olympic champion and Playboy model Lisa Buckwitz is set to widen her fame by hosting a quarter-final cup draw.

Buckwitz who posed topless on the cover of Playboy Germany last year, is set to host the Basketball Bundesliga Cup draw five years after winning an Olympic gold medal in the bobsleigh. The 38-year-old will no doubt bring more attention to the draw thanks to her huge social media following.

The Berlin-born start has half a million followers on Instagram with her topless Playboy cover one of her most liked uploads. She modelled for the magazine early last year – and wasn't shy of revealing all.

Buckwitz said at the time: "Every woman can show herself naked and no one should be ashamed of her body.

"I say i have more muscles, so what? I wanted to show that this is also a woman's body.

"I don’t have to disguise myself as a performance athlete. No woman has to hide."

Buckwitz burst onto the scene in winning Olympic gold in the two-woman category alongside Mariama Jamanka in Pyeongchang.

That win came after Buckwitz picked up world championship silver in the mixed team, with a fourth place finish coming in the 2022 Winter Olympics.

Despite her success, Buckwitz trains as hard as ever and keeps her army of fans updated using social media.
