Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is out for the remainder of the 2023 season after suffering a torn ligament in his right wrist during Thursday night’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens, head coach Zac Taylor announced on Friday.
Burrow exited the game in the second quarter after throwing a touchdown pass, doubling over in pain after releasing the ball. He was ruled out after halftime. The Bengals initially said post-game that Burrow had sprained his wrist, but additional testing revealed a more serious ligament injury.
Taylor added that Burrow’s injury will likely require surgery.
Jake Browning, who took over for Burrow after the injury, is set to be the starter for the rest of the season.
Around The NFL will have more on this news soon.
