Alan Shearer and Micah Richards were in full agreement when asked to pick between Cristiano Ronaldo and Ronaldo Nazario.
The Premier League winners turned pundits were put on the spot by Gary Lineker on The Rest is Football podcast and didn't need much time to choose. Despite the career stats only pointing in one direction – it was the Brazillian to come out on top.
Lineker asked: "Here’s a question for you, both at their prime, who is the best Ronaldo?" Richards then replied: "R9. I think Cristiano (Ronaldo) is a better goalscorer. But if you look at R9’s goals and you look at CR7’s goals, R9 just finds a way.

"Sometimes he would just beat three players dink someone or whatever it may be whereas I think Cristiano just finds a way to score, so I think he would score more."
Shearer swiftly agreed, adding: "Oh, R9."
Ronaldo Nazario scored 352 goals across 518 career appearances between 1993 and 2011, scoring 62 goals across his 98 international outings.
